Vitruvian Green Building System- Santa Barbara Archtiect

Are you looking for a building system that will not rust, rot, warp, split, crack, or creep? Is non-combustible, resistant to bugs and mold, and will not off-gas? Well, say “hello” to the Vitruvian Green Building System.

A direct alternative to wood framing, the Vitruvian Green Building System (VGBS) consists of light-gauge galvanized cold formed steel (structural element) and Expanded Polystyrene/EPS (insulation element).

VGBS doesn’t have any extra costs, and it reduces the operating costs of a building. And construction time is lessened, too.

If you’d like to find out how building with prefabricated EPS insulated panels can make your home fire, mold, and bug resistant, more energy efficient, greener, and save you money in the process, give us a call or shoot us an email today.

  1. I am curious about the Vitruvian building system. After coming across it on a trip to Santa Barbara a couple of years ago, I see no recent online references to such projects. There appear to be some in Australia. Were there problems with the system (e.g., I am concerned about hanging stucco on it), did the inventor move to Australia, or what? I am still intrigued by it and would appreciate any comments you might offer.
